About Hugs And Crayons By Olivia

We believe strongly that all kids (and grown ups!) should be able to spend time with some glitter glue! That is why we are pleased to donate proceeds of our sales to Olivia’s charity, Hugs and Crayons by Olivia. Hugs and Crayons by Olivia makes sure that ALL  kids can still be kids and can glue, cut and glitter their way to a happier today, and brighter tomorrow.

Throughout the year we will focus our donations in areas the community needs us. This includes back to school supplies in the late summer, winter coats in the fall/winter and food drives to prepare for school breaks. Of course, we will continue to fund art therapy programs for kids in need throughout the Seattle area, including the Kids Life Room at Seattle Children's hospital, where Hugs and Crayons by Olivia first got our start.  

We think sparkles, stickers and puffy paint make the world go round! Art is a great way to relax, unwind and focus your energy on positive thoughts. We know it helps kids (and grown ups!) relax, deal with stress and even trauma. To be able to supply kids in need with this outlet, we think, can help make them great leaders, mentors and community members. Its important for us to help those in need and show them there are people in their corner. 

Life is busy- too busy sometimes. Ever since Olivia was little we found  so much joy spending time together crafting and creating the day away. We decided to take this love and passion and give back to those in our own community that might not be as fortunate.  We started XO by Olivia 8 years ago, and after getting an assortment of our products in Nordstrom, Fireworks and Chasing Fireflies we decided we needed to use this success to help others. We started funding the art program at Seattle Children's, and have since expanded into other areas- all focusing on helping kids be kids in our own community. 

All of our current projects will be posted on Facebook, and it's there you can follow Olivia to see how she is tracking against her charitable goals. We will also be updating our "Events" tab with key dates and programs we will be offering to the community. 

Initially when Hugs and Crayons by Olivia was first founded we focused on art supplies and art therapy at Seattle Children's. Since that time, we have continued to support this key program, but have also looked to Olivia to find needs in her own backyard. She picks 2-3 side projects each year to donate to what she feels is important. We support organizations like Vision House, Mary's Place, Eastside Baby Corner and our own school districts.
